Mark Jones operates Sharondale Mushroom Farm near Charlottesville, Virginia. He grows gourmet and medicinal mushrooms, mushroom spawn, and a diverse garden with small fruit, fiber, and flowering plants. He teaches workshops about mushroom cultivation and designing perennial polycultures. His current work includes: developing low-input mushroom growing techniques for small farms, intercropping mushrooms in the food forest, and collecting local strains of mushrooms that have potential as food, medicine, and earth healers.
